Warnings of malaria and typhoid outbreaks in Sennar

The incidence of cases of malaria, typhoid fever and jaundice have increased in Sennar state. Medical sources also confirmed the growing number of cases of Hepatitis C due to the worsening of the environment in the town since August, with accumulation of rainwater and problems with sanitation systems.

Medical sources in the town are warning of the spread of the mentioned disease to epidemic levels, which will turn the city into a "serious” health catastrophe, as they put it.

In the meantime, the citizens of the Sennar complained of high drugs prices, where the price of a course of malaria treatment is 50 pounds, while the price of the drug used for treating typhoid is 60 pounds.
