W Kordofan citizens accuse SPLA-N of killing 2 people

At least two people were killed and others wounded in an attack on Al Dabkar village in Sudan’s West Kordofan State last week, local residents said.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several local residents accused the SPLA-North rebels of carrying out that attack.

They said a group of SPLA-N rebels in four Land Cruiser vehicles attacked the village late last week.

The incident resulted into the killing of two people and wounding of several others, according to the residents.

They pointed out that the attackers looted the market and torched it to ashes. They also accused the rebels of taking a vehicles belonging to the police in the area. 

For its part, the SPLA-North announced that they managed to destroy a government garrison in Al Dabkar village on 8 April.

The rebel groups claimed that they defeated the government forces and killed four SAF soldiers.

However, local citizens denied the rebels claim. They told Radio Tamazuj that the rebels came and attacked the market and looted citizen’s properties, besides the killing of two people.
