The South Sudan Red Cross in Western Equatoria state today began registering displaced people in Yambio who fled violence in Maridi and Mundri West counties.

State Red Cross director Allison Martin said they are conducting a house-to-house registration to evaluate living conditions and determine the number of people in need of assistance.

Displaced people complained last week that the state government provided supplies to only 130 people despite thousands having arrived in Yambio.
