W. Equatoria governor directs commissioners to submit lists of councilors

The governor of Western Equatoria State, Gen. Alfred Futuyo, through the state secretary-general, on Monday, directed county commissioners to submit lists of county councilors.

The governor of Western Equatoria State, Gen. Alfred Futuyo, through the state secretary-general, on Monday, directed county commissioners to submit lists of county councilors.

A letter dated 23 May and signed by the state Secretary-General Wilson Thomas Yanga, directed the commissioners to submit the lists within seven days.

“With the directive from Hon. Governor of Western Equatoria State, you are hereby informed to urgently send the names of your county councilors to the office of the governor within the period of (7) Seven days from the date of this circular,” the letter read.

Relatedly, Governor Futuyo who also doubles as the chairperson of the SPLM-IO in the state issued an order on 19 May outlining the new structure for the party in the state. 

“This order shall be cited as order No. 1/2022 for the appointment of the cadres in the secretariat of the SPLM-IO party offices in Western Equatoria State and shall come into force on the date of its signature by the chairperson of the SPLM-IO in Western Equatoria State,” it read.

The appointees are;

1. Elia Usini Dominic, Secretary for Peace, Reconciliation, and Healing, Tambura County.

2. James Ramadan Charles, Secretary for Legal Affair and Human Rights, Maridi County

3. Martin Dasikoko, Secretary for Economic Affairs, Energy, Mining, Commerce and Industry, Tambura County.

4. Mallish Gibson Maluku, Secretary for Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, Mundri West County.

5. Abdallah Banjemin Biko, Secretary for Land, Housing and Physical Infrastructure, Mvolo County.

6. Luka Augustin Lazarus, Secretary for Education, Youth and Sports, Ibba County.

7. Hellina Alima Secretary for Health, Gender, Social Welfare, and Humanitarian Affairs, Nagero County.

8. Gabriel Tumombori, Secretary for Labor and Human Resources Development, Ezo County.

9. John Ezibon Secretary for Culture Information and Communication, Mundri East County.

10. John Nambazia, Secretary for Mobilization and organization, Nzara County.

11. Michael Bakata Noah, Secretary for Administration and Finance, Mundri West County.

12. Eunice Romai Daniel, Secretary for Syndicate organization, Yambio County.
