Graduates of Veterinary Science and Animal Production in El Fula town, West Kordofan state, Sudan have complained of irregularities in the employment of university graduates by the state Ministry of Animal Resources. The youths deplore what they term “unlawful practices” and “nepotism and secrecy” during the recruitment of graduates for public institutions.

“We were perplexed when three fresh graduates were recruited to fill vacancies in the Animal Resources Department in the State Ministry”, Abdelgadir Ismail Tawr, one of the graduates, said. “These three were employed, though their names were not registered on the recruitment list. They did not even join the practical interview we all did.” Ismail added.

The complaining graduates reject such unlawful measures which, according to them, indicate nepotism in the recruitment and employment of young graduates. They appealed to the authorities concerned, to investigate all the irregularities taking place in recruitment across the state, in particular by the state Ministry of Animal Resources.
