Vaccination campaign in Yida refugee camp

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has trained 164 health workers to carry out vaccinations in Yida refugee camp in South Sudan. 

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has trained 164 health workers to carry out vaccinations in Yida refugee camp in South Sudan. 

The vaccines are for polio, measles and Vitamin A, for children aged one month up to 15 years old. The campaign will go from 20 October to 25 October.

An IRC health worker said the teams are working at more than 30 locations in the camp including the IRC health centre in the east of the camp, airstrip, the clinic south of Yida market and every school and water point.
