The price of the US dollar has reportedly witnessed significant increase in the black market in the Sudanese capital Khartoum these days, settling at 10.5 Sudanese pounds (SDG).

Multiple sources confirmed rising inflation rates of up to 50%. Meanwhile, prices of some consumer goods, spare parts, electrical appliances, and clothes are soaring at the market.

Traders at Suk Al-Arabi told Radio Tamazuj there is recession at the market, saying the purchase power is declining which they said is another challenge.
