Upper Nile Ministry of Labour requests more offices

The Ministry of Labour in Upper Nile has requested more offices along the border between South Sudan and Sudan, in order to preserve the rights of workers on agricultural projects bordering Sudan.

Mrs. Elizabeth Padut, of the Ministry of Labour in Renk County, told Radio Tamazuj that there are challenges facing the workers in the areas bordering White Nile and Blue Nile states, due to the distance between the agricultural projects and the office of the Ministry of Labour.

Padut revealed that there are plans to request that the responsible authorities in Upper Nile open some offices along the border so as to protect the rights of the workers and avoid the workers’ repeated complaints.
