The governor of South Sudan’s Upper Nile state Simon Kun Puoc issued a decree removing Melut County Commissioner Dau Goch and Maban County Commissioner Timato Nau.
After removing the two commissioners, the governor issued another decree appointing John Ivo Mounto as new commissioner of Maban and Bol Aguer as Melut county commissioner.
However, the governor did not issue any decree removing John Ivo from his position as Security Affairs Advisor.
Kun also appointed Dau Goc as technical adviser at the State Ministry of Public Service and Human Resources Development.
The governor gave no reasons for the reshuffle, which was announced on Tuesday, according to a local official.
The State Information Minister Peter Hoth told Radio Tamazuj the gubernatorial decrees were normal and that they comply with policies of the state government.
