Upper Nile border peace committee on study visit to Aweil

The Upper Nile State Border Peace Committee visited Aweil this week to learn how the Dinka Malaul tribe manages to live in peace with bordering Sudanese ethnic groups, specifically the Misseriya and Rizeigat.

Members of the peace committee explained to Radio Tamazuj that they would benefit from the study visit because they have their own seasonal influxes of Sudanese herders.

Chairman of the delegatino Musa Ajak Karkab applauded the people and government of Northern Bahr el Ghazal for their warm reception to the team, adding that they would adopt methods of making peace that they learnt from the Dinka Malual residing in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

The delegation will visit border counties including Aweil North and Aweil East.
