Unused land to be redistributed in South Darfur

Unused plots in South Darfur meant for investment projects will be redistributed since no development has taken place on them, the state government said.

Unused plots in South Darfur meant for investment projects will be redistributed since no development has taken place on them, the state government said.

South Darfur State Minister in the Supreme Council for Investment Abdul Rahim Omar issued a decision to revoke licenses for plots of unimplemented projects.

Omar said 26 plots were previously allocated to construct fuel stations but none have been implemented.

“The council has taken this action to encourage investment at this time, since there are local and foreign investors who wish to invest,” he said.

He said the decision will start with the service sector, followed by the agricultural and industrial sectors.
