The Caretaker Governor of South Sudan’s Unity State Joseph Monytuil on Wednesday issued a decree appointing three new state cabinet ministers and two county commissioners, a local official said.

The newly appointed ministers are:
·         Minister of Local Government, Pakel Riek
·         Minister of Public Service, Peter Gatkuoth
·         Minister of Youths and Sports, Pater Lam Tung

State Minister of Information Peter Makuoth Malual told Radio Tamazuj that the governor further decreed the appointment of new commissioners for Leer and Rubkona Counties.

Makuoth declined to disclose to the reason for the removal of some ministers and county commissioners. He described the reshuffle of some ministers and other officials as “normal."
