The deputy head of mission of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) Zeido Kiros has hailed the peace reached by Ngok Dinka and Misseriya tribes in the contested area of Abyei between Sudan and South Sudan.
This came after the UN official visited Ngok area which is hosting a peace conference between the two tribes.
Kiros also hailed the leaders of the two tribes for the traditional means they used to solve their issues.
He stressed his willingness to provide security in Abyei area.
The UN official urged the two sides to be patient until the institutions in Abyei are put in place. This comes following demands of the peace committees for the creation of a prison to jail those who undermine the peace.
