United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) have evacuated several households from Todac area following clashes in the area.
The residents in the northern part of the disputed Abyei Area have been taken to Abyei town after fighting between youths of the two tribes Dinka Ngok and Misseriya, according to a local source.
Bagat Makuac, a chief in Abyei town, told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that families were relocated to Abyei town by UNISFA without notifying the native administration.
“We were not informed by the UNISFA about what happened in Todac that necessitated evacuation of citizens,” he said.
