Two members of a Sudanese militia have been arrested by the United Nations for allegedly ambushing commercial vehicles in the Abyei area, a local official said.

On Wednesday, the Ngok Dinka paramount chief told Radio Tamazuj that at least three people were killed and two others wounded in an ambush on a commercial vehicle carrying passengers.

Alor Dou al-Beit, an Abyei Administrative Area Spokesperson, told Radio Tamazuj that UNISFA forces arrested the militia members on the Aniet-Ngong road after a hot pursuit.
