The UN Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) today morning resumed its regular flights to Pochalla after a month of cancellation owing to harassments by government soldiers, a local official said.

Pochalla County Commissioner Jay Adingora Alual confirmed the new development in an interview with Radio Tamazuj, describing it as “good news “to the people of Pochalla County.

“It is a good news for the people of Pochalla to hear that UNHAS flights will resume normally in Pochalla as usual,” said Alual.

He further said the decision was reached at a meeting between government officials in Boma state and WFP officials.

Pochalla County is a hard-to-reach area with no roads linking it to other states. It has no mobile networks.
