The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has said thousands of refugees from South Sudan have taken shelter in western Ethiopia since mid-February.
The majority of refugees are women, children and the elderly having fled the clashes that broke out in Akobo, Jonglei state, said UNHCR spokesman.
The UN Mission in South Sudan condemned the cattle raids of the Lou Nuer in South Sudan on March 9.
UNMISS sent a patrol to the area to gather evidence on the raids and provide medical assistance to those affected.
