The United Nations Mission in South Sudan reported that sustained gunfire took place on Monday 4 January in Pibor town, the spokesperson for UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon said yesterday.
Stephane Dujarric said UNMISS received reports of fighting between the Lango and Bototh ethnic groups, but said tensions between the SSDM/A-Cobra Faction of David Yau Yau and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army have decreased.
