UN Genocide Adviser to conclude visit to South Sudan tomorrow

The UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide Adama Dieng is scheduled to conclude his five day visit to South Sudan on Friday.

The UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide Adama Dieng is scheduled to conclude his five day visit to South Sudan on Friday.

Dieng’s visit to South Sudan was to better understand the landscape of ethnically-fuelled violence and provide assistance as requested.

The UN Special Adviser met with government officials, UNMISS top leadership, and civil society groups as well as community members inside the UN camps.
