Bulabek Deng Kuol, paramount chief of the Ngok Dinka in the contested area of Abyei between Sudan and South Sudan says renovation of the Abyei-Agok road is almost complete.
The chief said that the Abyei-Agok road is being renovated with the support of the United Nations Interim Security Forces for Abyei (UNISFA).
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Bulabek said the renovation will facilitate movements of vehicles and people during this year’s rainy season.
Abyei natives have been complaining about rising prices of commodities due to impassable roads between Abyei town and Agok.
