UK names David Ashley new Ambassador to South Sudan

Mr. David William Ashley has been appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan in succession to Mr Guy Warrington.

According to a Thursday press release from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCO), Ambassador Ashley will take up his appointment in January 2025.

He joined the FCO in 1999 and served as International Criminal Court Desk Officer, War Crimes Section, UN Department. Over the years, he has served in various capacities, rose through the ranks, and his latest posting was as His Majesty’s Ambassador to Madagascar and non-resident Ambassador to Comoros.
