Ugandan interior minister in Juba to discuss trouble in border districts

Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs on Friday landed in Juba to meet his counterpart Aleu Ayieny Aleu to discuss security issues in border districts Kajo-Keji and Moyo, which were affected by inter-communal violence last September.

Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs on Friday landed in Juba to meet his counterpart Aleu Ayieny Aleu to discuss security issues in border districts Kajo-Keji and Moyo, which were affected by inter-communal violence last September.

Ugandan Ambassador to South Sudan Robert Rusoke told journalists in Juba that Aronda Nyakairima’s visit was to discuss border security. He added that it is a follow-up of several meetings held on both sides of the border.

The ambassador said they would keep reviewing their Memorandum of Understanding to build mechanisms for peace. The meeting is expected to start on Saturday in Juba.
