Two workers presumed drowned at new Nile bridge site in Juba

Two men working as laborers on the the new Nile River Bridge under construction in Juba are presumed to have drowned. Their bodies have not been recovered.

The deaths occurred when one of the workers fell into deep water while on duty and a second worker tried to rescue his drowning colleague. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM.

According to one worker, attempts to recover the bodies of the two men have so far been unsuccessful. “It is really sad, their bodies have not been found yet,” he said.
