Two vehicles hijacked in Juba’s Gudele area

Two vehicles have been hijacked at gunpoint in Juba on Sunday evening, according to multiples sources.

Gunmen who were monitoring movement of vehicles hijacked the two cars separately late on Sunday.

At around 7 PM three gunmen hijacked a Toyota Land Cruiser at Lou junction in Gudele one. The driver had gone to buy some items from the nearby shop in Lou junction leaving his child in the car.

Gunmen came and ran away with the car after they threw out the child along the street. The child was not seriously hurt. The armed men went towards Hai Referendum area and were not arrested.

In a similar development, three gunmen attacked a government official who was returning home from church. The armed men kidnapped the official and later released him unhurt after stealing his vehicle which carried a government plate number. The incident occurred at around 8 PM.
