Two teachers shot dead in West Kordofan state

At least two primary school teachers were killed at Killo 50 area of Al-Dabab Locality in Sudan’s West Kordofan state after unknown gunmen attacked their residence on Thursday.

At least two primary school teachers were killed at Killo 50 area of Al-Dabab Locality in Sudan’s West Kordofan state after unknown gunmen attacked their residence on Thursday.

A police officer, who preferred anonymity, told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that unknown gunmen killed Abdulkareem Omar and Fadhul Abdallah Adam who were working as teaching at Killo 50 Primary School.

The same source said the assailants managed to escape. “Despite the ongoing disarmament exercise in the area, we are still experiencing insecurity,” he said.

The source added that the area has been witnessing insecurity, saying a police officer called Abdallah Al-Zamzami was killed in the last three weeks at Al-Satib.

He called on the security committee to implement the disarmament exercise to crackdown on criminals in the area.
