Two Sudanese opposition parties to attend SPLM-N al-Hilu convention

Sudanese opposition leaders from the Communist and Sudanese Congress parties said they will participate in the upcoming extra-ordinary general convention of the SPLM-N faction under the leadership of Abdul-Aziz al-Hilu scheduled to take place on 6th October in Kauda, South Kordofan state.

According to Al-Meidan Arabic newspaper, the party said it will send its political affairs secretary, Mohammed Mukhtar Al-Khatib who is expected to deliver a speech during the convention.

For his part, Sudan’s Congress Party deputy chairman, Khalid Omear Yusuf said they have accepted the invitation sent by the SPLM-N under al-Hilu and they are ready to participate in the convention which is expected to take place in the rebel-controlled territory in Kauda this week.
