Two students were injured at Khartoum University when a student affiliated to the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) attacked several students during a peaceful demonstration organized by Darfur students.

Dozens of students from Darfur protested to demand exemptions for tuition fees, in accordance with the Abuja and Doha peace agreements on Darfur, but administration officials refused.

Musa al-Khali, chairman of the Darfur student’s union in Shambat campus, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that they organized a rally to discuss the current political developments.

He explained that a student affiliated to the ruling party stabbed two students during the rally when he was asked to delete videos he had recorded on his cell phone. The two wounded students were identified as Abbas Mohammed and Khalafallah Ali.

Al-Khali pointed out that the students handed over the perpetrator to university guards.
