Two police arrested in Malual Centre for negligence

Two police officers have been arrested in Malual Centre County for negligence in their duties, according to the County Commissioner Luka Ngong Lueth.

Two police officers have been arrested in Malual Centre County for negligence in their duties, according to the County Commissioner Luka Ngong Lueth.

Ngong told Radio Tamazuj that the two are accused for recording an incorrect amount of money that belonged to a trader who was killed by an armed man about two weeks ago at Marol Deng Geng road.

The official said that police were supposed to “handle carefully” the case but that they acted negligently and seem to have taken money that belonged to a slain robbery victim.

He revealed that he visited the families of a victim just to calm them down as investigations are ongoing

A relative of the victim also confirmed that the suspect after he killed a trader, then he took with him some money and some documents and surrendered to a police station but the police did not the write down correct statements. 

“He (the culprit) took the bag and there is money because we got a paper where the victim was calculating up about two hundred thousand and something pounds and then when the police caught this suspect they reported only five thousand seven hundred and something and the money disappeared,” explained a relative.
