Two people were killed by unknown criminals in Heiban Locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan state on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at Gardud village, where the criminals also took four motorcycles and money from the victims.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, a source from Kurgul administrative unit said about four men from Gardud village were ambushed when on their way to the area. The ambush resulted in the killing of two men among them.
The two victims were identified as Saleh Adlan aged 43 and Awad Ajabna aged 39. They said the criminals took four motorcycles and money.
The locals expressed concern about insecurity in Heiban and accused militia supported by the government of involvement in such criminal acts. They called upon the local authorities to provide full protection for the citizens.
