At least two people were killed by a pro-government militia in Abassiya Locality in Sudan’s South Kordofan State on Sunday, according to a source.
The source who preferred anonymity told radio Tamazuj yesterday that the two people were shot dead by members of the Popular Defense Force (PDF) in Abassiya Locality on Sunday. He noted that the locals could not identify the two victims because their bodies were found mutilated.
“They were killed on Sunday afternoon, but people failed to identify their bodies because they were shot in the heads and their ears were mutilated,” he said.
The same source pointed out that the local residents ran into the bush after the incident, amid harsh humanitarian conditions due to acute shortages of shelter. He called on humanitarian organizations to help the needy people as soon as possible.
