Two people injured in cattle raid in Twic East

At least two people were injured on Tuesday in a cattle raid in Twic East County of South Sudan’s Jonglei State.

At least two people were injured on Tuesday in a cattle raid in Twic East County of South Sudan’s Jonglei State.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Dau Akoi Jurkuch, Commissioner of Twic East County, said cattle raiders attacked Aliet village on Tuesday morning and raided 17 cattle.

He said residents chased the cattle raiders and managed to recover the cattle but two people were injured during the pursuit, including one from the residents and another from the raiders.

Twic East County has experienced several recent raids and sometimes incidents of child abduction.
