Two men sentenced to death for Kenyan priest murder in Cueibet

A court in Cueibet area of South Sudan’s Gok State sentenced to death two men for the murder of Kenyan Jesuit Father Victor-Luke last month, Good News Radio reports.

A court in Cueibet area of South Sudan’s Gok State sentenced to death two men for the murder of Kenyan Jesuit Father Victor-Luke last month, Good News Radio reports.

The convicted men were identified as Chol Wieu Mabok and Tito Machiek Chol.

Gok State’s High Court Judge Yai Anyuon also sentenced two others to10 years in prison.

Kenyan Jesuit Father Victor-Luke Odhiambo, 62, was murdered when assailants attacked the Daniel Comboni Jesuit Residence in Cueibet, where he resided.

Odhiambo, who was the principal of Mazzolari Teachers College and the local Jesuit community’s acting superior, was attacked in the early hours of Nov. 15 in Cueibet.
