The acting police commissioner of South Sudan’s Jonglei State says two brothers were killed by armed men last Friday night.
Chol Achiek Deng told Radio Tamazuj that the incident occurred at Majokgeth area of Bor North County when armed men suspected to come from Boma state attacked the family.
He added that the two brothers died on the spot.
Although the motive behind the attack remains unclear, Achiek said the attackers are suspected cattle raiders.
He said calm has been restored after police were sent to patrol the area but investigations into the murders have been launched.
