At least two people were killed and another two injured in attack by gunmen in Mangala county of South Sudan’s Central Equatoria State, according to a local official.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Commissioner of Mangala County Elario Paul said gunmen attacked Deri island in Mangala, killing a father and his son and injured other two people.
He accused a tribal group who crossed from Jemaiza area of being behind the attack.
Radio Tamazuj was unable to contact authorities in Jemaiza for comment.
In May three soldiers and a woman were killed when an armed tribal group attacked Mangala area during a celebration of the inauguration of the new Mangala County government.
