Two people were killed and one injured last week in an attack on farms by gunmen in Macharkon village of South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal state.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Ayuel Yai Deng, local minister of information, accused a group of seven Misseriya men of attacking the farms last Wednesday.
He said they killed two and kidnapped one person who later managed to escape from their custody.
The Arab Misseriya and Dinka Malual tribes recently concluded a two weeks peaceful coexistence conference in Aweil East.
The two sides agreed to settle all issues between the two tribes and compensate the families of the victims by paying blood money.
