Two men were killed by unknown gunmen in Western Equatoria State, according to local authorities. The two were shot as they were on a motorcycle 40 miles away from Yambio town.
The Deputy Governor of Western Equatoria State, Sapana Abui, yesterday was quoted by Radio Miraya as saying the killings took place on the road to Madiangere Payam.
“They were just shot on Boda Boda and we have collected the bodies and investigation is ongoing to find out who are the killers,” he said.
The deputy governor also said there was a shooting incident yesterday in Mundri West in one of the cattle camps in Amadi payam, an area that has previously seen high tensions between farmers and herders.
He noted, “We have sent security forces to go to site of the incident to find out what happened so that they give us the report.”
