Today the Reception Committee of the South Sudanese government received two aircrafts carrying members of the SPLM-IO returning to Juba. The first aircraft carried 126 members and a second aircraft carried another 126 for a total of 252.
The majority were civilians, only nine of them were soldiers.
An official of the reception committee said they expect to receive another aircraft in Juba tomorrow carrying SPLA-IO forces.
SPLM-IO signed a peace agreement with the South Sudanese government in August last year. Today, however, the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission warned that it might report to the IGAD Heads of State that the parties have failed to abide by the agreement because of delays forming a power-sharing government.
