Two men in the border trading town of Kaya have been abducted by rebels after an attack on the town earlier this week, according to people in Oraba who fled from Kaya.
The sources said that during the last incident in Kaya SPLA-IO forces took with them two men belonging to the ethnic Dinka. Several people complained that the men are missing but did not say if they are soldiers or civilians.
The fate of the two abducted remains unclear.
Kaya town remains controlled by government troops but the situation there is tense and many of the native Equatorians have fled the town.
Separately, SPLA (government) troops in Kaya have allegedly detained some Uganda citizens after the fighting in Kaya town.
The citizens were believed to have crossed there to collect their money. The sources said authorities from Uganda have been pressing the South Sudanese government from Kaya to release the citizens.
