Bodies of two brothers killed by unknown gunmen in Wau State were found early this week, a local official said.
The commissioner of Manaloor County in Tonj State, Paul Mangong Awak told Radio Tamazuj Wednesday that men in military uniform killed two brothers from his county as they returned from a farm in Roc-Roc Dong County of Wau State on 12 August.
“Two brothers were killed and the third person survived,” he said.
Mangok said seven armed men in different military uniforms carried out the attack, according to the narrative provided by the survivor.
The commissioner, however, added that he has communicated to the governor of Wau State to find out the identities of the attackers.
“The governor of Wau has confirmed to me that he is going to communicate with the armed opposition officials in the area and find out the attackers,” he stressed.
Wau State officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
