Two arrested for investigation after robbery in Turalei

Police have arrested the manager of Cyerdit local money transfer and a police officer after an amount claimed to be more than two hundred thousand South Sudanese pounds was stolen from the shop on Monday.

Turalei police inspector Atem Deng Atem was quoted by local media saying that the two were arrested for investigation.

“A thief broke into Cyerdit money transfer shop last night and this morning a CID officer and the bank’s manager went and brought back to us their reports and the amount said to have been lost no one can justify and as a result we have taken in the manager and a police officer who guard the shop,” said Atem

Atem also added that security forces are deployed to find the suspect.
