Twic state police commissioner complains of lack of trained officers

Twic state police commissioner major general Aguer Ajak Mabior has reported that there are few police officers to tackle crimes in the new state. 

Speaking during a three day workshop organized by his office at Mayen Abun to building the capacity of local police officers, Aguer said lack of trained officers is the major challenge facing police department in the state.

"Our problem here is the shortage of police officers across six counties of the state. They are also lack uniforms, boots and equipment that enable them to perform their duties effectively and efficiently" Aguer explained during the closing ceremony last Week.

He urged all police officers in the state to cooperate with members of public in order to reduce the level of crimes and cases of cattle theft.
