The dead body of a Town Bench Court Judge was floating in the river in the Twic East County headquarters, Panyagoor town, on Sunday, authorities said.
Major Majak Daniel Tuor, the state police spokesperson, said the judge identified as Bul Deng Bul, went missing before he was found dead on Sunday and said that an investigation has been launched.
“He was found floating on water by some sailors at a docking site. He was found with stab wounds to his back. Our personnel there are investigating circumstances behind his death,” he said.
Chol Leek, the county health director, said the deceased was stabbed to death before being dumped into a river.
“On the same day, a postmortem examination was carried on him. He was stabbed twice in the back and then thrown into a river. I think the police are investigating his death,” he said.
