Traditional chiefs in Twic Couny of Warrap State have been asked to provide resources to build roads, according to The Radio Community, a network of FM stations in South Sudan.

Biar Biar Ring, the commissioner of Twic County in Warrap, says the executive chiefs in his area are to pay 1300 pounds and 20 bulls to enable development.

“The people who will be paying the bulls are the payam administrators, executive chiefs, sub chiefs and the gol leaders. I would like everything to be reported to my office on time in order to keep good security in the county,” he is quoted as saying.

The commissioner says the new roads will improve security and help reduce cattle raiding in the border areas of Akoc Payam.
