The head of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and his Deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, and parties to the peace agreement today visited al-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State.
Other council members Hadi Idris and Al-Taher Hajar also accompanied the Al-Burhan.
According to the official Sudan News Agency (SUNA) the delegation was received, at the airport, by the Governor of Darfur Region, Mini Arko Minawi, and the Governor of the State, Nimir Mohammed Abdel Rahan, and the members of his government.
SUNA reports that Al-Burhan will chair the regular meeting of the joint Higher Council for the Security Arrangements at the state secretariat.
The meeting will discuss the implementation of the Security Arrangement (Darfur Track), which was included in the Juba Peace Agreement, the developments of security situations in Darfur, and the formation of the Joint Forces.
