At least 30 members of civil society organizations in Yambio in South Sudan’s Gbudue state have been equipped with new skills aimed at improving policy of communications and advocacy.
The civil society members of Yambio underwent three days training on key areas on communications and how they can advocate for issues affecting local communities.
Speaking during the closing session of the workshop on Thursday, Alafi Isaac, coordinator of civil society at Democracy International, appreciated the participants for accepting the training.
He encouraged the civil society organizations in Yambio to effectively coordinate among themselves to have positive impacts in the society.
The training was organization by Democracy International through its SUCCESS program with support from USAID.
