Unknown gunmen shot and injured a businessman on the road linking Mingkaman town and the state capital Rumbek on Monday.
Zachariah Patich Dhal, a Criminal Investigation Officer in Mingkaman, told a local radio station that the victim is under treatment in Mingkaman Primary Health Care Center.
Dhal says they are in communication with Western Lakes State authorities to trace the suspected criminals. The incident occurred at Pachong Village of Rumbek East County.
