Trader killed at his home in Blue Nile near Damazin

Abdelrasul Adam was killed earlier this week at his home during a nighttime attack by armed men in the Jariowa area of Blue Nile state. The trader was at home when unidenfied gunmen attacked the house and shot him dead, his brother Adam told Radio Tamazuj. Adam said that his brother was doing small business in the area since his graduation from Sudan University College of Engineering two years ago. The body was transferred to Damazin Hospital, in the capital of Blue Nile state, where he was then buried. The brother said that he suspects someone from the neighborhood of the crime noting that they did not join in the mourning, and said that the late had left a book indicating the names of people who were demanding same money from him along with those whom he was demanding money from. None of these people attended the mourning, he said. Adam also pointed out that the police officers did not response immediately when the killers stormed the house, and no suspect has been arrested so far.
