Torrential rains cut off Tulus-Nyala road

The main road between Tulus Locality and the state capital of Sudan’s South Darfur State has been cut off by heavy rains and floods, affecting movements of vehicles and people in the area.

The main road between Tulus Locality and the state capital of Sudan’s South Darfur State has been cut off by heavy rains and floods, affecting movements of vehicles and people in the area. 

Yusuf Al Samani, nazir of the Fallata tribe in South Darfur, told Radio Tamazuj that floods have cut off many roads connecting the locality with various towns in the state.

He further said the Tulus-Um Dafoq-Nyala road had been cut off last week by floods that hit Um-Brambita area. He pointed out that the flood also affected a bridge at Damsu area.

The traditional leader revealed that it was the first time that local residents have witnessed such flooding since the last 40 years.
