Three students injured in Al-Salam University violence

Three students were injured on Monday in violent clashes among students at Al-Salam University in Sudan’s West Kordofan State.

A student who preferred anonymity told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that the bloody clashes erupted between the students belonging to opposition parties and those supporting the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) during a rally organized on the university campus.

He pointed out that the incident resulted in the wounding of three students, two in critical condition, saying they were taken to Babanusa Hospital for treatment.

The same source noted that security organs entered the University and used tear gas to disperse the clashes.
