Boma’s Minister of Local Government Abraham Natabo Nyitaak told Radio Tamazuj that three army officers were killed in action at Kubal area when their convoy came under attack by armed youth on Wednesday.

“Our governor led a delegation to recover cattle raided from Duk and Jalle in Jonglei. The cattle were recovered from those criminals but in the process of taking the cattle to where the governor was, the same criminals laid an ambush on the soldiers,” he explained.

The local official pointed out that the attackers took thousands of cattle after the deadly ambush.

Minister Natabo noted that the state government was pursuing the raiders.
